The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has appealed to members of the public for information that could lead to the arrest of two suspects who allegedly fled following a drug raid in Bulawayo.
In a statement yesterday, the ZRP said: “The ZRP is appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of two suspects linked to unlawful dealing in dangerous drugs following a raid at a house along Oragon Road, Newton West, Bulawayo by detectives from CID Drugs and Narcotics, Bulawayo, on 2 August 2026.”
According to the police, detectives recovered “36 cobs of dagga weighing approximately 30 kg, 58 boxes (50 x 100 ml each) of Broncleer Cough Syrup and 447 loose 100 ml bottles of Broncleer Cough Syrup.”
The ZRP said the suspects escaped before they could be apprehended.
“The suspects fled from the scene, abandoning a white Honda Vezel, registration number AHG 5315, which has since been impounded by the police,” the statement reads.
The police have urged anyone with information that could assist in locating the suspects to come forward.
“Anyone with information that may assist in the arrest of the suspects is urged to report at any nearest Police Station or contact the National Complaints Desk on (0242) 703631 or WhatsApp 0712 800 197,” the ZRP said.
Investigations into the case are continuing.
