LCFC thrashes UFFC 5-1 in dominant league victory

In a match that electrified fans and showcased the rising dominance of Lupane Celtics Football Club (LCFC), the team stunned United Forces Football Club (UFFC) with a decisive 5-1 victory at Newlands Stadium on Sunday.

The commanding win, fueled by exceptional teamwork and individual brilliance, solidifies LCFC’s growing reputation as a force to reckon with in the league.

The atmosphere was electric as supporters packed the stadium, eager for the clash. From the first whistle, LCFC seized control, displaying sharp tactics and relentless energy. Star forward Mthabisi Mnkandla stole the spotlight with two stunning goals. His first a precise finish set the tone for the match, while his second, a long-range rocket, left the crowd roaring in admiration.

Adding to the tally were Vusile “Malume” Dube with a perfectly timed strike and teammates Tony Moyo and Londi Mpofu, who delivered clinical finishes to cement the Celtics’ dominance.

UFFC’s only response came from Shaun Phugeni, whose spirited effort offered a brief glimmer of hope for his struggling team.

Reflecting on the match, LCFC coach Zibusiso Ngwenya lauded his players’ performance.
