Claim: “When we have the hypocrisy of Mrs Mnangagwa at the FLAIR SUMMIT- June  2025, London – speaking about “Women’s Empowerment” – something is not right! Is it Zanu Propaganda in the UK? Is it all just FLACID?”

Verdict: False

In response to a post on Hopewell Chin’ono’s X page regarding the state of Zimbabwean hospitals, as discussed during a National Assembly question and answer session, ZHRO_Zimbabwe on X commented with an image of a woman lying on a hospital floor with a baby. While the caption does not outrightly make the claim that this is a Zimbabwean hospital, it is implied.

Verification

  1. The photograph was initially published on 25 June 2009, with the caption: ‘A mother lying on a bare floor at Kayunga Pediatric Ward, Uganda.’
  2.  Jean Gasho  posted the same image on X (formerly Twitter) on 19 October 2016, accompanied by a caption addressing the deteriorating state of hospitals in Zimbabwe.

Conclusion: The image in question was taken in a Ugandan hospital and, as such, does not accurately represent the condition of hospitals in Zimbabwe as implied by the comment. .
