After stirring emotions with Emaweni, his emotional love ballad featuring Bhila, rising Maskandi artist Kaykid UMfanomsotho returns with a soul-piercing new single titled Inhliziyo.
The track, which features the hauntingly beautiful vocals of Khwezi, is set for release on Friday, July 25th, alongside an official music video on YouTube.
Inhliziyo is a powerful story of love, betrayal, and irreversible heartbreak. It follows a man who leaves home in search of a better life to provide for his wife. But when he returns, eager to propose with a ring in hand, he is crushed to find her in bed with another man—his own friend. The emotional shock is too much to bear, and he dies of a heart attack, the engagement ring never reaching her finger.
Kaykid UMfanomsotho says the song serves as a mirror to real-life pain and consequences. “We wanted to highlight the emotional and tragic cost of betrayal. The man was working hard to support his wife. Her impatience and lack of gratitude led her to cheat—with his friend—and it cost him his life.”
Khwezi describes the track as deeply personal and relatable. “Many people give everything in relationships and end up broken by the very people they trusted. Inhliziyo is for everyone who’s ever been hurt after loving deeply.”
