Makhadzi to Perform at Victoria Falls

Jonathan “JVan” Sibanda

Victoria Falls is bracing for an electrifying weekend as South African star Makhadzi headlines a much-anticipated concert at Baobab Primary School Grounds this Friday, September 19.

The award-winning performer, celebrated for her electrifying stage presence across Southern Africal, will share the lineup with a strong mix of local talent. Eight Victoria Falls based artists and DJs including Dj Nkosiminator, DJ Fatso, DJ Mathousand, Muffia King, Daddy Racks, Ignite Magetsie, J Tonga and Raaz will take the stage, joined by Hwange’s Mr Dee and DJ Divara, and Harare’s Judgement Yard and Bagga.

Promoter Dee Nosh says the response has been overwhelming. “People are buying tickets as far as Hwange. This show is going to be bigger than any I have organised at Cotton Club, Black Diamond, or Amos. The hype is real,” he said, noting that early bird tickets sold out quickly.

Baobab Primary School Grounds has become a popular venue for major shows, offering reliable security and controlled sound levels. The event is scheduled to start at 6 PM.

Makhadzi expressed her excitement on social media, writing, “Zimbabwe has beautiful places like Victoria Falls. Trust me when I say I have been going to Zimbabwe, but my dream has been to perform at Victoria Falls. Finally, I am going to kill the stage this weekend!”

With a powerful headline act and a rich supporting lineup, Friday’s concert promises a night of music and dance that will light up the Falls.
