Unidentified man found dead behind Mckertun Primary School

Bulawayo – The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is urgently seeking information from the public regarding any missing adult males following the discovery of an unidentified body behind Mckertun Primary School in Bulawayo.

On the evening of December 15, 2024, at approximately 6:00 PM, a 34-year-old man observed an individual lying by the roadside, initially mistaking him for someone intoxicated. However, upon returning to the scene the next morning at around 7:00 AM, he found the man deceased, with no signs of life, leading to an immediate police report.

Assistant Inspector Nomalanga Msebele provided details about the deceased, describing him as having natural dreadlocks. His attire included a woolen hat striped with yellow, red, white, and black, a navy blue jacket with the Great Zimbabwe logo on the back, black and grayish track pants, a white shirt, green socks, and white tennis shoes.

During the initial investigation, a small packet of unprocessed tobacco was found on his person. The body was subsequently transported to Mpilo Mortuary.

Assistant Inspector Msebele emphasized the importance of carrying identification, stating, “Police encourage the public to always have some form of identification on them. This aids in police investigations and provides quicker closure for the deceased’s relatives.”
