Nkulumane Constituency Member of Parliament, Honorable Desire Moyo, yesterday marked the one-year anniversary of his tenure. The MP not only celebrated past achievements but also unveiled ambitious plans for the coming year, promising to revolutionize the community through transformative initiatives.
“The past year has been a journey of engagement, participation, and progress,” MP Moyo stated. “We have listened intently to the concerns of our constituents and have worked tirelessly to address them.”
A cornerstone of his achievements was the launch of the Nkulumane Development Plan, a comprehensive blueprint designed to ensure transparent, accountable, and inclusive leadership. The plan, anchored on three pillars of governance, has laid a solid foundation for sustainable development.
“We have also made significant strides in improving our community’s infrastructure,” Hon. Moyo added. “Through a comprehensive Constituency Familiarisation Tour, we identified specific needs and have embarked on addressing them.”
Looking ahead, Hon. Moyo announced plans that are set to redefine the constituency. He pledged to establish mental health and legal clinics, ensuring that residents have access to essential healthcare and legal services. Additionally, he outlined plans to mobilize funds for the elderly and gifted pupils, recognizing their unique needs and contributions to the community.
To address the pressing issue of water scarcity, Hon. Moyo announced his commitment to implementing innovative water solutions. By ensuring access to clean water, he aims to improve the quality of life for all residents.
“We are committed to creating a safer and more prosperous Nkulumane,” Hon Moyo said. “We will continue to work closely with our community to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”
The MP also pledged his unwavering support to the residents of Ward 22, who have been affected by the arrest of their councillor. “We will ensure that their voices are heard and that their needs are met,” he stated.
As MP Moyo enters the second year of his term, he called on the community to unite and work together to achieve their shared goals. “Together, we can build a brighter future for Nkulumane,” he concluded.
